After 5 years, I thought I had learned a lot about preservation…not even close! The detail about the materials and structures of paper based items and the external factors that effect them is extensive, but easy to absorb. They even have quizzes (instant correct answer) to help you get it in your head.
I guess I knew most of the external factors, heat, humidity and light. But I was unaware of the factors inherent in the materials that also put them at risk.
