Hi Nancy,

Here is the question I posted on Quora:
When taking the ferry to Newfoundland is it better to book a stateroom or sleep on deck?

If your sister can give us any hints based on her experience it would be great!

Hi, Linda. I have a niece that lives in Newfoundland and has for several years. My sister and her husband go to visit about once a year and stay at various B&Bs while they are there. Do you have any specific questions that you would like answered about the area? Let me know and I will gladly find out some answers for you. They are very familiar with the ferry crossings etc. Nancy

Hi,
I'm not familiar with Unimarc. You might be able to find a crosswalk to do what you need to do. I suggest you post your question to Archives & Archivists (A&A) List [archives@forums.archvists.org] You can sign up for their lists at http://www2.archivists.org/listservs

Good luck. I know how frustrating it can be to make things fit.

hi
I have a question.
I am PhD student in Iran that i am working on using MARC in archival softwares in Iran. I want to know can we use Unimarc fields for archival materials? how this is possible?
I read your post about MARC to EAD. Can we map MARC to ISAD?
Thanks so much.
this is my question to all archivists.

I set up a Flickr account for our library's local history room, to share some of the images we had on CONTENTdm in a forum where they might be more likely to be discovered. We haven't actually tried to use it for unidentified photos yet though. I would like to do that at some point. I would think this would be very helpful especially if it could get the backing and publicity of the main Community Relations department, such as featuring it in an alumni newsletter (in your case) or in library publications - so that a significant number of people will know that it's there.
